Sunday's SermonJuly 11, 2010 --- If you go looking for a new car, you will probably notice a lot of features that are available which fall into the category of "optional." Sometimes, there are things required of us which fall into the category of "optional." On the contrary, some things are simply mandatory. As we examine the Word of God, it ought to be evident to us that if we desire to receive the Crown of Life, some things are not optional. Just us this Sunday as we look at the biblical concept of confession and its place in the life of the child of God.

Come worship with us in 2010! We will be delighted to have you as our honored guest. We are a Bible-centered church with Bible-centered worship. LakehavenWe are blessed in Lowndes County to have truly excellent nursing facilities available to us. A few years ago, several of our members reached the point physically where they were in need of such services, and a number of them moved to Lakehaven Nursing Home, located on Northside Drive here in Valdosta. In 2005, Airport became the only church in Lowndes County to begin hosting a weekly worship service at a nursing facility. This has turned into a wonderful outreach tool for the church into that special niche in our society. Several others of our members reside in Lake Park at the Baptist Village, which is an assisted living facility, and one is at Crestwood. We encourage our members to remember all of our shut-ins in prayer and in visits, calls, and cards.
